Description
This is a full-time, year round position.
The Landscape Technician has the responsibility to participate in an efficient and comprehensive landscape maintenance program. The incumbent will provide providing groundskeeping and building maintenance to retail bank branches on a landscaping route.
Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties as required. Mow lawns either by hand or using a riding lawnmower.
Landscape by planting, trimming, and maintaining flower beds, grass, shrubs, bushes, and small trees. Shovel snow from walkways and apply anti-skid as needed; Clean parking lots, sidewalks, and all exterior areas while performing routine groundskeeping.
Perform spring and fall cleanups to remove excess debris, leaves, and trim landscaping. Install new hardscaping, river rock, fencing, signage, and other furnishings as required. Pressure wash building exterior and refresh parking lot painting as needed. Clean gutters and roof drains of debris.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping. Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and utilized in a safe manner consistent with established standards.
Close out work orders upon completion via iPad or Computerized Maintenance Management System. Respond to emergency and non-emergency service requests and prioritize work order response. Communicate in a pleasant and professional manner with internal and external customers.
Key Requirements
2 or more years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance
Experience driving larger vehicles such as box trucks & pickup trucks with trailers
Proven customer service experience and/or abilities
Competent use of MS Office applications to include MS Excel, Word, Outlook
Ability to travel as required
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy
Ability to plan and prioritize workload
Ability to work outside in all types of weather to complete jobs safely
Proven track record to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to assure successful timely completion of all
Comfortable working at heights (ladders, roof top, etc)
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Driver’s License, required
