JOB SUMMARY
A Field Laborer’s main responsibility is to assist the team in the installation and repair of underground utility infrastructure. They will perform a wide range of physical labor tasks to support their team’s safety and goals on the construction site.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

•Observe operators from excavation to assist them in safely digging around existing utilities
•Use hand tools to dig around existing utilities to prevent damage
•Set up work zones for crews to complete tasks and enhance safety measures
•Maintain a clean, organized job site free from unnecessary hazards
•Unload and inventory materials
•Perform Driver’s Vehicle Inspections and cleaning on vehicles and equipment
•Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
•Ability to be a team player with a can-do attitude
•Withstand the climate year-round
•Insurable Driver’s License
•Pass DOT drug-testing & DOT physical
•Pass criminal background check
•Ability to adhere to safety expectations set by OSHA and client/company standards
•Ability to complete computer-based and hands-on training once hired

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
•High school diploma or equivalent
•1 year of manual labor experience, preferably outside in the elements
