Description
The Gallery Experiences Presenter is responsible for the delivery of an exceptional visitor experiences at CMNH. Position is primarily one of program delivery and presentation, but may require some behind the scenes work, such as cleaning, inventory and basic animal/insect care. Position will require weekend and some evening work.
This is a temporary position from May 28, 2024 - August 17, 2024.
Key Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in service industry, customer service, teaching, theater or work in theme parks/museums/family entertainment centers a plus.
Experience or training in interpretive technique a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
Demonstrated understanding and aptitude in science-learning facilitation.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a user-friendly way to a broad audience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires walking, lifting and longer periods of standing.
Requires ability to see visitors in gallery spaces, often with lower light levels.
Requires ability to hear visitors in spaces with high level of ambient sound.
Requires ability to speak to visitors in a clear and understandable manner.
May require ability to manipulate objects.
