KTA is seeking an experienced Engineer In Training (EIT) to join our growing water tank inspection team at our headquarters near the Pittsburgh International airport with expected travel demands between 10-20%. This role requires an experienced individual with strong project management skills. The position is expected to begin in early 2026.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and conduct field activities as needed, including site inspections, data collection, and report preparation.
Develop drawings, specifications, technical memoranda, and cost estimates for water tank repairs and maintenance.
Maintain knowledge and documentation of historic, current, and in progress changes to water/wastewater industry regulations.
Engage with clients, deliver technical presentations, and coordinate project activities with various stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Metallurgical and Materials, or a related Engineering field.
Currently have an EIT and plan to obtain the Professional Engineer (PE) license.
2+ years of progressive experience in the water/wastewater industry and working knowledge of AWWA and/or NFPA standards. Familiar with NSF 61 requirements.
AMPP (Association for Materials Protection and Performance) Certified Coating Inspector. – desired
