JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Account Clerk, Food Service is directly supervised by the Food Service Accounting Manager and is responsible for providing clerical support for the Food Services Department. This role will support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as well as the National School Lunch Program Application process and grant management functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Review Accounts Payable invoices for accuracy and submit invoices for payment.
2. Serve as the timekeeper for Food Service School staff.
3. Verify student eligibility for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) process of the National School Lunch Program.
4. Distribute correspondence (memos, email, letters, mailings, etc.) to various entities.
5. Manage office supply orders and organization.
6. Generate requisitions for Purchase Orders in the Munis system.
7. Maintain meticulous filing systems by conducting management, routine maintenance, and auditing digital and hard copy files, documents, and folders.
8. Communicate effectively and confidentially at all levels, over the phone, face-to-face, and electronically.
9. Other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor in support of the department’s or school’s goals and objectives and the District’s mission and Superintendent’s Priority Goals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Candidates must be enthusiastic about the fundamental goal of advancing student achievement in an urban public school district. In addition, we are seeking candidates with:
· Experience entering, recording, processing and maintaining billing information within a system or excel spreadsheets.
· Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
· Experience maintaining electronic information files and processing paperwork.
· Ability to perform work within defined specifications and timelines while managing conflicting priorities.
· Ability to maintain effective working relationships with schools and departments.
· Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
