HVAC Installation Technician – Team Lead
  • Location: Latrobe, Pennsylvania
  • Pay Rate: $25 - $32 per hour
  • Schedule: Daylight - 4 - 10 hour shifts
To install HVAC-R systems to company standards providing the customer with a high-quality experience. Supervise the work of install helper while maintaining high quality and timely job performance.

What will you be doing?
  • Install equipment properly the first time he is at a customer’s location 
  • Using a variety of hand and industry related tools 
  • Operate company vehicle daily – and keep vehicle clean and neat (organized and orderly) 
  • Be neat and clean at all times (truck, equipment, uniform) 
  • Attend any training classes and training seminars to keep his expertise upgraded in field 
  • Adhering to proper procedures in the use of paperwork (work order, return material tags, etc.) 
  • Take direction regarding scheduling from installation manager 
  • Keeping the install manager up to date on job progress 
  • Follow through on job problems and assist team members with theirs 
  • Start up, test, and balance systems (when needed) 
  • Carry out job in timely manner within the labor budgeted 
  • Turn in all paperwork (or completing App information) to office making sure it is filled out completely and accurately 
  • Responsible for always having all minimum required stock on truck 
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all time, as well as relationships with customers, co-workers, and sub-contractors. 
  • Job related training 
  • Other tasks as requested by install manager and owner
 
Education and/or Experience
  • Good mechanical ability 
  • EPA certification 
  • Willingness to work towards NATE Certification (at company expense
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner with customers, vendors, staff and the general public 
  • Be able to SAFELY use of all major hand tools and power tools required for installations; including testing devices such as combustion analyzer. 
  • Continue to build sheet metal fabrication skills and to size and draw work correctly 
  • Work well under pressure
  • Must have valid drivers’ license and a good driving record 
  • Excellent customer relations skills and an open mind to think outside of the box
  • Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events 
  • Good communicator – works well with different customers and office personnel personality style
  • Ability to direct and train entry level personnel
  • Must be able to work in close spaces, attic, crawl space, roof, and from a ladder or scaffolding at times
  • Self-motivated and able to handle rapidly changing priorities and several tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to respond to co-workers with high level of professionalism.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers. 
  • Must be able to follow safety guidelines at all times.
  • Communicates and interacts with employees on all levels (in the field and in the office).

Key Requirements

Good mechanical ability
EPA certification
NATE Certification
Continue to build sheet metal fabrication skills and to size and draw work correctly
