Job Summary:
The Sales and Customer Support - Commercial Roofing Products role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our commercial roofing customer portfolio, ensuring this vital business segment operates efficiently and profitably. This position calls for a strong, customer-focused professional who can drive sales growth, manage inventory to meet customer needs, foster lasting relationships with both new and existing clients, and play a key role in advancing the overall success of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth in the Commercial Roofing Products division.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities to expand the commercial customer base.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key clients, architects, contractors, and other industry professionals.
- Leadership:
- Support the recruitment, training, and mentorship of a high-performing sales and support team.
- Establish clear performance expectations and provide constructive feedback to help team members succeed.
- Promote a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages innovation, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Product Management:
- Partner with suppliers to source and maintain a diverse, high-quality range of commercial roofing products.
- Monitor inventory levels, pricing, and margins to balance profitability with customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on industry trends and innovations to guide informed product decisions.
- Financial Involvement:
- Contribute to the development and management of the division’s budget, including revenue forecasts and expense oversight.
- Review financial reports and performance metrics to evaluate results and support data-driven decision-making.
- Customer Service and Satisfaction:
- Deliver exceptional service and support throughout the customer journey.
- Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries, concerns, and issues.
- Implement feedback systems to continuously enhance service quality.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all divisional operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Remain informed on applicable regulations and implement necessary safety protocols and training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of progressive experience in commercial roofing sales, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and financial goals.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Team player.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of commercial building products and industry trends is a must.
