Work Schedule:

+ Rotating daylight and evening shifts between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.

+ NO major holidays or overnight shifts required!

+ Rotating Saturdays (12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) and Sundays (10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.).

Location Coverage:

+ The Radiology (Diagnostic, X-Ray) Techs will travel to all locations up to approximately 50% of the time.

+ Preference in locations will be considered as much as possible, but will ultimately depend on operational coverage needs.

+ Locations: Children's North (Wexford), Children's South (Bridgeville), Children's East (Monroeville), Children's West (Moon), Children's Express Care Cranberry (UPMC Lemieux Center), and Children's West Mifflin.

_Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based on individual experience and education, at manager discretion._

Responsibilities:

+ Properly identifies all patients by using two patient identifiers.

+ Reviews patient history, assesses physician orders, and documents patient history in electronic record, as required.

+ Administers PO/enteral and rectal contrast per physician orders.

+ Ensure exams are coded, tracked, networked, and charged correctly.

+ Performs diagnostic radiography and other procedures utilizing established protocols/procedures.

+ Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, and documentation of image data.

+ Interacts with patients and co-workers with care, dignity, and respect.

+ Demonstrates the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patient's fears and solicit their cooperation.

+ Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT-approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date.

+ Technologists cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT has been obtained.

+ Candidates with an active ARRT Certificate and 1 year of experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

+ ARRT Certificate or registry eligible.

+ Must obtain ARRT Certificate within 6 months of hire.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required within 30 days of hire.

+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewals
