**Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 - Traveler**
Open to candidates basing out of: Philly or Pittsburgh, PA or Raleigh, NC
**Overview**
As Traveler Automation Pharmacy Technician 4, you will travel to customer sites to operate, support, and optimize Omnicell's advanced pharmacy automation technologies. You'll play a critical role in backup support, go-lives, training, and ongoing customer success while supporting the Autonomous Pharmacy.
This role is ideal for experienced inpatient or CPhT pharmacy technicians who enjoy travel, technology, and making a real impact on patient care.
**What You'll Do**
+ Travel to hospital customer sites to operate, support, and optimize Omnicell automation technologies, including **IVX Robot & Workflow, XR2, PakPlus, Automated Dispensing Cabinets** , **AWS** , etc.
+ Support our hospital sites as backups, system implementations and go‑lives, including medication assignment, inventory loading/unloading, and staging activities.
+ Perform daily equipment operation, inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting following SOPs and best practices.
+ Manage medication assignments remotely or onsite using Omnicell tools to ensure accurate setup and optimal inventory levels.
+ Deliver hands‑on customer support and training to drive adoption, confidence, and long‑term success.
+ Collaborate closely with Professional Services and project teams to ensure smooth implementations and positive customer outcomes.
+ **Act as a subject matter expert (SME) f** or Omnicell automation, supporting both customers and internal team members onsite or remotely.
+ Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, credentialing requirements, customer policies, and Omnicell travel and expense guidelines.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA - CPhT/ExCPT)
+ Active State Board of Pharmacy Technician License/Registration for state of resident
+ 1+ year inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience (strongly preferred)
+ Valid driver's license and REAL ID and/or U.S. passport
+ COVID‑19 vaccination
+ **Ability to travel extensively-100%**
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
+ 2+ years hospital pharmacy automation experience
+ 1+ year IV compounding experience
+ Automation implementation and basic troubleshooting experience
+ Previous travel‑based role experience
