The Energy Innovation Center Institute develops the regional workforce required to build and operate energy systems, utility infrastructure, healthcare, banking, and other critical infrastructure systems at scale.

EICI was established in 2014 to design and lead the programmatic platform of the Energy Innovation Center facility, where it directed workforce development, employer engagement, and ecosystem programming exclusively through 2023.

Headquartered at the EIC and still a material contributor to its outcomes, EICI now operates independently, while continuing to partner with employers, industries, and stakeholders to deliver workforce and infrastructure-aligned programs.

EICI also supports applied research and policy efforts that strengthen U.S. energy systems and critical infrastructure.
