Office System Assistant - Radiology Support (UPMC Presbyterian)

We are now hiring for an Office System Assistant to support the Radiology Support Department at UPMC Presbyterian. This role provides front desk leadership and operational support, ensuring timely patient check‑in, efficient workflow, and an exceptional patient experience.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM or 8:30 AM-5:00 PM; rotating Saturdays, Responsibilities:

+ Lead and support front desk operations; ensure efficient workflow and issue resolution

+ Accurately check in patients, verify demographics/billing, and coordinate radiology exams

+ Schedule inpatient, outpatient, and add‑on exams per departmental guidelines

+ Answer multi‑line phones professionally; route calls and obtain missing provider orders

+ Maintain documentation accuracy, confidentiality, and HIPAA/UPMC compliance

+ Deliver excellent customer service, including service recovery and complaint resolution

+ Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, support training and teamwork

+ Demonstrate flexibility, sound judgment, and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ 1 year of experience (medical office preferred)

+ Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, and radiology preferred

+ Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Word and Excel

+ Strong customer service skills

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

+ Act 34
