+ 24 state-of-the-art OR suites
+ Specialties include: Neuro, ENT, Ortho, Vascular, Urology, Plastics, Thoracic, Robotics & more
+ Strong oncology patient focus
+ 40+ surgical cases daily - fast-paced, diverse, and never routine!
What You'll Do
+ Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care using our Relationship-Based Care Model
+ Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses
+ Apply advanced critical thinking and assessment skills in a surgical environment
+ Participate in patient goal-setting and care planning
+ Communicate and document care effectively
+ Build meaningful relationships with patients, families, and teammates
+ Perform scrub role duties
+ Receive placement on our nursing career ladder based on your experience and education
+ 2+ years of nursing experience STRONGLY preferred.
+ Operating room experience is preferred but not required.
+ Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in application of the nursing process.
+ Mobility and visual manual dexterity. Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients.
Licensure/Certification
+ Registered Nurse (RN)
+ UPMC approved national certification preferred.
+ Fit Testing Required
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance
