Carnegie Mellon University's department of Athletics is searching for multiple Non-CMU Student Part-Time Casual Lifeguards. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible position. Priority consideration and preference will be given for individuals that have familiarity with the Carnegie Mellon community and university facilities.

**Core responsibilities include:**

+ Ensure the safety of patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies

+ Exhibit knowledge and application of lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques

+ Understand facilities policies and procedures

+ Other duties as assigned

**You should demonstrate:**

+ Flexibility and punctuality

+ Strong communication skills

**Qualifications:**

+ ARC or YMCA lifeguard training

+ ARC Standard First Aid & CPR for Professional Rescuer

+ AED Training

+ A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

**Requirements:**

+ Successful pre-employment background check

+ Child Protection Clearances (Act 153)
