What You'll Do
As a Dental Assistant, you'll provide exceptional chairside support while helping patients throughout every stage of their treatment experience.
+ Deliver outstanding patient care and create a welcoming, positive experience from check-in through treatment.
+ Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials before each patient appointment.
+ Assist dentists during **denture procedures, dental implant placement, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments** in accordance with state regulations.
+ Take and assist with **alginate denture impressions** , select appropriate impression trays, and prepare **wax bites** under dentist direction.
+ Assist with denture insertions, adjustments, relines, repairs, and other expanded duties where permitted by state law.
+ Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implant procedures, post-operative care, home care instructions, and financial packages.
+ Obtain and document patient medical histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately.
+ Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state certification requirements.
+ Maintain strict infection prevention and sterilization standards by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments and operatories.
+ Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
+ Support daily office operations, including maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment.
+ Travel occasionally for training and continuing education opportunities as needed.
+ Perform additional duties to support patient care and office success.
Qualifications
**Required:**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ **Dental Assistant and X-ray certification (where required by state)**
+ Strong communication and patient service skills
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
+ Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and compassionate patient care
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ **1+ year of dental assisting experience**
+ Experience assisting with **dentures, removable prosthetics, or dental implants**
+ Experience taking **denture impressions and wax bites**
+ Experience assisting with **oral surgery and extractions**
+ Experience with **prosthodontic procedures**
+ Familiarity with dental practice management software and electronic patient records
