Description
Seeking dedicated early morning truck drivers for local routes, typically concluding by 3:00 PM. This position involves delivering goods from the warehouse to various job sites and company locations within the Pittsburgh area.
-Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, equipment, paperwork, and loaded products.
-Execute timely and accurate deliveries to customer job sites and home offices utilizing company-provided vehicles.
-Load and unload inventory while maintaining inventory accuracy.
-Ensure a neat, safe, and organized work environment.
-Complete and maintain accurate manifests.
-Deliver exceptional customer service.
-Utilize company technology to communicate arrival and serve as a liaison with customers.
-Maintain records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
-Communicate effectively with managers, sales, and branch logistics.
Key Requirements
-2-5 years of driving experience preferred but not required
-Proficiency in using smartphones for directions, photography, and communication.
-Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, background, and driver record checks is mandatory.
-High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
-Capacity to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
-Knowledge of the local delivery area.
-Ability to remain seated in a vehicle for extended periods.
-Capability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl, and twist for lifting.
-Obtainment of a Medical DOT Card with screening is required upon hire (company-paid).
Employment Details:
-Monday through Friday schedule, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
-40 hours per week with potential for overtime.
-Compensation: $18 per hour with overtime, contingent upon hours worked and performance.
