The Maintenance Technician performs duties independently or with sub-contractors that maintain cleanliness and safety for ONSE, its affiliates, and tenants.  

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors as needed. 
• Removes stains from rugs, walls, and floors using environmentally safe cleaning solutions. 
• Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment.
• Assists tenants with: 
  • Building entry card creation and deletion. 
  • Building security readers and doors. 
  • Maintenance requests that are submitted via Zendesk. 
• Inspects and conducts routine preventative maintenance with subcontractors including: 
  • Electrical 
  • Plumbing 
  • Ice machines 
  • Water filters 
  • Ballasts 
  • Roof top units 
  • Roofs 
  • External sprinkler system 
  • Life safety systems (fire extinguishers, fire alarm pull station, exit doors, strobe lights, elevators, defibrillators, generator, suppression system, and internal sprinkler system). 

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge and skills using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical (assisting electrician) sub-contractor equipment repair, painting, and janitorial.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
• Written and oral communication skills including answering questions from customers and clients.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3 – 5 years of related experience.
• Technical College coursework preferred.
