Job Purpose/Summary
The Therapist I – In-Home provides home and community-based services to youth who are involved in the juvenile justice system.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, art therapy, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, education, rehabilitation, pre-med, theology, anthropology, general human services, or a related field.
Experience: Experience working with children and/or adolescents preferred.
Licenses, Certifications & Clearances:
- Act 33/34 Clearances
- FBI Clearance
- Valid State of PA Class 1 Drivers License
- Access to properly insured motor vehicle for client transportation and fieldwork and a safe driving record

- Knowledge of child/adolescent development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducts initial intake.
- Assesses child and family strengths, needs, and risks.
- Demonstrates understanding of child/adolescent development and family functioning.
- Identifies and understands environmental stressors.
- Aids youth and families in identifying their strengths and coping mechanisms, as well as works with families to resolve family issues.
- Utilizes assessment and referral information to develop an individualized service plan (ISP) for the youth and family (if the family is participating in services).
- Develops and utilizes interventions that target the goals of the ISP.
- Communicates frequently with Juvenile Court, Children and Youth Services staff, mental health professionals, school officials, and other cooperating agencies to secure additional support services for consumers and report on progress in services.
- Attends court hearings, case conferences, and other meetings with youth and families at support service agencies as directed/required.
- Maintains documentation for involvement with and contacts made for consumers. Adheres to documentation requirements established by internal policies and procedures, state/county guidelines, Council on Accreditation (COA) requirements, and other applicable guidelines.
- Maintains a ratio of direct/indirect billable hours as determined by the program.

Key Requirements
$2,500 HIRING BONUS paid in installments: $1,250 at 6 months and $1,250 at 1 year!!

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
