Description
Mascaro is seeking a heavy civil estimator in the western Pennsylvania region to support our Heavy/Industrial Operations. In this role, you will assist in the development of competitive proposals based on accurate cost estimates including general conditions, self-performed work, and subcontracted work. The successful candidate will be able to quantify scopes of work, assisting in the development of General Conditions, and communicate effectively to gain a working understanding of RFPs, drawings, specifications, and RFIs. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management OR technical college degree with combined minimum of five years’ field and estimating experience
Comfortable to work in both an office and on-site construction project environment
Ability to travel and/or temporarily relocate based on project needs
Proven experience as a Heavy Civil Estimator with a strong focus on earthwork take-offs and self-perform estimating
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and related documents
Experience with construction software preferred, especially Carlson, HCSS, and Bluebeam
Aptitude to work as a team player with strong planning and organizational skills
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors
