KTA has an opening for a motivated inquisitive and mechanically inclined General Laborer to support our Coatings Laboratory. This is a full-time position located at KTA’s corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with preparation of laboratory samples including coating application using different methods such as spray, brush or roller;
- Performing standard coating tests;
- Taking ownership of the Coatings Lab, including housekeeping, safety, inventory, and maintenance of equipment;
- Compliance with standard operating procedures; and
- Being an active, engaged employee owner always looking for process improvement opportunities.

Key Requirements
This position is open to all candidates with the following qualifications:
-High School Diploma/GED
-Prior related experience will be considered in lieu of a diploma/GED
-Mechanical aptitude
-Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time, type, speak, hear, lift up to 40 or more pounds safely, and wear a respirator; close, color, depth, distance, and peripheral vision with the ability to adjust focus; and manual dexterity to manipulate small objects and instruments.
