Job Purpose/Summary

 

The Therapist II – Functional Family will provide in-home, community-based services using the evidence-based intervention model of Functional Family Therapy through Child Welfare (FFT-CW). The position will provide, at a minimum, weekly 1 hour, home-based, family therapy sessions to families. The Therapist II – Functional Family will complete intensive FFT-CW Model training and consultation. The incumbent will be required to carry a caseload of 8-10 families, providing at least weekly services to each family for 4-6 months. The position requires work schedule flexibility to meet the availability of families.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education: Master’s degree (social work, counseling, mental health, education, or a related human services field is preferred).

 

Experience: 2 years of experience in human services is preferred.

 

Licenses, Certifications & Clearances:  

  • Act 33/34 Clearances
  • FBI Clearance
  • Valid State of PA Class 1 Drivers License
  • Access to properly insured motor vehicle for client transportation and fieldwork and a safe driving record

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Delivers FFT-CW high-risk track services with fidelity.
  • Completes FFT-CW Model training.
  • Participates in weekly consultation sessions with FFT-CW staff.
  • Participates in weekly supervisions with assigned Supervisor.
  • Engages and joins with families who may not desire the service.
  • Maintains a caseload of 8-10 families simultaneously.
  • Administers all required assessments to family members.
  • Promotes respect and utilizes treatment approaches tailored to serve diverse families and communities.
  • Engages families and adapt interventions to utilize family strengths and skills.
  • Empowers families to solve their own problems, while intervening decisively, when necessary, to protect family members.
  • Refers families to appropriate services, supports, and community programs.
  • Compiles and maintains all necessary records with complete documentation, according to established guidelines and timeframes.
  • Collaborates with Child Welfare, community stakeholders, families, and caregivers as needed.

Key Requirements

$4,000 HIRING BONUS paid in installments: $2,000 at 6 months and $2,000 at 1 year!!

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Education: Master’s degree (in social work, counseling, mental health, education, or a related human services field is preferred)
