Description
- Works directly with job seekers to assess their needs and improve their job search readiness with outcomes of reduced average days to employment, increased average annual wage, and reduced employment turnover.
- Conducts interviewing, assessment, coaching, and direct assistance
- Follows up with veterans to determine job search/employment status and service needs.
- Documents service activities and electronic files in the data system.
- The Job Readiness Specialist has no direct reports and reports to the Executive Director.
Key Requirements
• Patience and empathy with clients
• Ability to interview and assess responses to determine client needs
• Effective communication skills - phone, email, one-on-one, and group setting
• Strong writing skills
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including MS Word and Excel
• Time management skills
