SUMMARY:Patriots 5K
DESCRIPTION:Run\, walk\, or ruck at North Park on Sept 26 for the Patriots 5K. Honoring our veterans and supporting suicide prevention. \n\n\n\n\nThe Patriots 5K will be held on Saturday\, September 26\, 2026\, at North Park. The event is much more than a race—it is a day of remembrance\, community\, and hope. In addition to the 5K Run/Walk/Ruck\, we will host a Veterans Resource Fair\, bringing together organizations from across the region to connect veterans and their families with valuable services\, resources\, and support. \nGet ready for an inspiring day at the inaugural Patriots 5K taking place at the picturesque North Park Boathouse in Allison Park\, Allegheny. This vibrant event invites everyone—whether you choose to run\, walk\, or ruck—to join in honoring the brave lives of our nation’s veterans and supporting military families. The scenic 5K course offers participants a chance to stand in solidarity with those who have served and the families who carry their legacies forward. \nFor full event details\, schedules\, and mission information\, visit our official website atPatriots5K.org. \nWhy Your Support Matters\nThis special occasion marks the official launch of the Semper Fi Mission’s White Star Initiative\, which aims to provide scholarships and support for children who have lost a parent to veteran suicide. This race is held in proud and loving memory of Jerry Ondo\, a 10-year U.S. Navy Submarine Veteran whom we tragically lost to suicide earlier this year. \nBy participating\, you are not only celebrating our heroes but also making a meaningful impact in the lives of veterans and families in crisis throughout Western Pennsylvania. \nEvent Highlights\n\nTimed 5K: Run\, walk\, or ruck the beautiful\, scenic course around North Park.\nVeterans Resource Fair: Connecting veterans and military families with vital regional services\, organizations\, and support.\nRemembrance Ceremony: A heartfelt ceremony honoring the veterans we have lost and the legacies they left behind.\nVirtual Registration: If you cannot join us in person\, you can still register to run\, walk\, or ruck from anywhere in the world.\n\nCome together with your community to Run.
