Pittsburgh Hires Veterans (PHV) was founded in 2016 as the result of a strategic collaboration with several organizations, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Veterans Leadership Program of Western PA, New Century Careers and the John G. Rangos Sr. Family Foundation. Today, the organization is led by a star-studded Board of Directors comprised almost entirely of veterans or current military personnel. Additionally, all PHV staff members have military connections and an understanding of issues encountered in the transition from military life to life as a civilian.
